I have 2 kids.. A boy age 8 and a girl age 7. My native language is swissgerman but I have been living in the USA for almost 10 years. My dh is american and our main language is english.. I have a HARD time speaking swiss with my kids.. My dd loves it but my son refuses to learn. He has his moments where he wants to say something or even tries to read a small word. He read some titles from the PAPA MOLL ( a german childrens book) serie.. Even my husband said one time I should speak swiss with my kids..
No my son has already a hard time reading.. I want to teach my kids  my language because I dont want them to tell me one day.. why didnt you.. So why is it sooo hard for me?
