Hello everybody.
---
I browsed through this forum quite a while and although I found a lot of useful information (thank you!) I couldn't find situation similar to ours.
I'm Slovenian, my husband is American and so is his daughter (13) who is living with us. We're communicating in English and living in the USA.
---
Soon a new baby will be born and we're planning to stick with the rule "one parent - one language": me talking Slovenian only, him English only.
---
My question:
They would both (my husband and his daughter) like to start learning Slovenian with the baby so that at least they could understand her when she grows up.
Can my husband's daughter speak both - English and Slovenian - with the baby? Or stick to English only?
---
Any suggestions or similar experience welcome.
Thank you.
