Hi there,
Great site you got!
I’m still left with a question though…
I’m Dutch and my wife is French. We live in France with her son of four years old from a previous marriage. Her son speaks French only.
I’m quadrilingual and my wife is trilingual (With French and English as the only languages that we have in common.) My wife is pregnant, and i’d like to speak Dutch with our child. With my wife and her first son not understanding that language, the opol method at home could be rather difficult, as it may exclude my wife and her son. At the same time, I might find myself in a situation where I have to translate continuously everything…
Could anyone give my her or his thoughts on this matter?
Kind regards,
David
